Forum Rules

Welcome to the Dentists Reviews community forum. It is a free place for patients, parents and dental professionals across the US to ask questions and share practical tips. To keep it useful and safe for everyone, please follow these rules.

1. This forum is not medical or dental advice

Posts here are general information shared by community members. They are not a diagnosis, treatment plan or substitute for an exam by a licensed dentist. If you have severe pain, facial swelling, trouble breathing or swallowing, or bleeding that will not stop, contact a dentist right away or go to an emergency room.

2. No defamatory or unverifiable claims

You may describe your own experience honestly and respectfully. Do not post accusations you cannot support, such as claims of fraud, malpractice or crimes, and do not attack individual staff members by name. Stick to what happened, when, and how it affected you. Moderators may edit or remove posts that make serious allegations without basis. Formal complaints belong with your state dental board.

3. Keep personal health information private

Do not post your full name, date of birth, address, insurance member ID, X-rays that show identifying details, or records belonging to someone else. Describe your situation in general terms. Do not share another person’s health details without permission.

4. No advertising or self-promotion

No ads, coupons, promo codes, affiliate links, lead generation or repeated links to a practice or product. Posts may contain at most two links, and new members’ first posts are reviewed before they appear. Practices that want to be listed can use the free List Your Practice page instead.

5. Dentists and dental professionals must disclose

If you are a dentist, hygienist, assistant, office manager or otherwise work in dentistry, say so in your post the first time you reply in a thread, and disclose any connection to a practice you mention. Professionals answering in “Ask a Dentist” should give general education only and recommend an in-person exam where appropriate.

6. Be respectful

No harassment, hate speech, threats, spam or off-topic posts. Disagree with ideas, not people.

7. Moderation and reporting

Every member’s first topic or reply is held for moderator approval. Use the Report link on any post to alert a moderator. Moderators may edit, hide or remove posts and suspend accounts that break these rules. Questions about moderation can be sent to info@dentistsreviews.com.

By posting you confirm that your content is your own and that you follow these rules and our Terms and Privacy policy.
